Crazy Polish Lady - Another Mojito, please!

It's Monday again! I hope everyone is off to a great start with their week :) Today I have Crazy Polish Lady Another Mojito, please! for you. This is from the limited edition Summer Is Up collection. Even though this is a summer polish the colors go great for fall and winter too. This crelly polish has quite a unique and lovely color combination!

For this mani I used two coats of Another Mojito, please! with G & G HK Girl top coat.

Formula was good and the application was nice and smooth which is usually the case with Crazy Polish Lady polishes. This was opaque on two coats but with my long nails it would've not done any harm to add a third coat. With two coats the result was smooth enough so I didn't need Glitter Food before the top coat.

Crazy Polish Lady has recently opened her own webstore. This polish is still available along with previous collections and a very stunning looking new fall collection. So go check it out! You can also follow her on Facebook.

***Another Mojito, please! was sent for review, other products purchased by me. I do not benefit from clicking the links on this post.

Ihanaa viikonalkua kaikille! Tänään vuorossa portugalilaista indielakkaa Crazy Polish Ladyn tyyliin. Tämä on Another Mojito, please!

***Another Mojito, please! saatu ilmaiseksi, muut käytetyt tuotteet olen ostanut itse. En hyödy mitenkään linkkien klikkauksista.

Mish Mash Challenge Week 7: Least expensive polish - Golden Rose Matte Velvet #105

Happy hump day! For once I'm getting my post up on Wednesday :D This week we are using our least expensive polish/polishes. I chose Golden Rose Matte Velvet #105. This one was also in my untrieds so it was an easy choice. I found this from a discount bin at a local store and it cost me 1 euro. I believe I have never bought a polish cheaper than one euro :)

This is two coats of Matte Velvet 105 alone, no undies, no top coat.

Application was great and two coats is enough for an opaque result. This dries to a semi matte, shimmery finish. Very beautiful color :)  I have no complaints.

Now I'm off to check out what kind of awesome findings the other ladies have to show for this cheap polish week :D

Polish Addict Nail Color - Oceanside

Hello again! Since I've fallen a bit behind on my reviews I'm trying to catch up by doing some crazy swatching and two post days ;)

Here's another Polish Addict Nail Color shade. This is Oceanside, a beautiful nude crelly with neon green and blue glitter. This polish is a perfect example of how simple can still be very beautiful. Love this!

This is three thin coats of Oceanside with G & G HK Girl top coat.

Formula and application on this were perfection. No dragging or balding like you could expect with a base color like this. Oceanside was smooth and even starting from the first coat. I adore the nude base color! Reminds me a bit of Illamasqua Load. This is another one of those shades that is perfect for winter too. (What is it with me and winter lately? Summer isn't even over yet! LOL).

Polish Addict Nail Color is available at their own webstore and us international ladies can do our shopping at Mei Mei's Signatures. You can also follow them at FacebookTwitter and Instagram.

Jindie Nails - Monster's Ink

Yay! Regardless of the sleepy time madness that I mention on my last post I managed to write a second review of the day :D

This is a brand new Jindie Nails shade, Monster's Ink. It's so new it has only been available for pre-order for now. Jindie restock is coming up soon though so keep your eyes peeled for that!

Here's how it's described on Jindie Nails website "It has a bright yellow/green base similar to the color of Mike from Monsters Inc.:).  It has several fun glitters in it including matte light purple dots, matte dark purple diamonds, metallic violet medium dots, lilac holo large & medium dots, teal large dots, teal hex, squares and dots, light green metallic dots, magenta large & small squares, silver dots, mauve small squares, pastel pink matte dots, white dots and diamonds, lime green holo dots and hex, matte kelly green dots and diamonds and satin matte teal hex, micro slices and just a few satin matte teal stars".

The formula was great and application was nice and smooth. There was no need for fishing or placing the glitters. The result was so smooth that I thought about not using Glitter Food at all. The base color is quite interesting too. It's a very yellow-ish green, almost radioactive looking. This looks like it could glow in the dark, but it doesn't, I checked  LOL

Very unique and fun looking polish! I just love Jindie Nails ♥

This will be available soon at jindienails.com! Follow the news on FB and Jindie Nails blog.

Jindie Nails polishes are available at www.jindienails.com. International customers can also click here to find a distributor that works the best for you. Jindie Nails can be found from FacebookTwitter and Instagram. Please go follow for latest news and swatches of awesome upcoming new shades!

Mish Mash Challenge: Week 4 - Nail art technique I have never tried before

Look at me almost getting a post up in time ;D For this week I had a lot to choose from and I ended up doing drag marbling. This is something I've been wanting to do for a while now, this and water marbling but I'm still not brave enough to try that LOL

For this manicure I used OPI Thanks a Windmillion, Sephora by OPI Leaf Him At The Altar and China Glaze Gussied Up Green. I finished the manicure with G & G HK Girl top coat.

I'm not totally happy with the result. It looks kinda cool but I think it could look a lot cooler. I think I have to give this one another try later on. But there's no winners or losers on our challenge and that makes it so much fun :) Good or bad, I challenged myself to try something new :)

Thank you for reading and please pay a visit to the other lovely ladies too :)

Lynnderella - The Full Minty

Today I have a real treat for you! Lynnderella recently released a new collection "Once Upon a Prince and More Man Candy" and I'll be showing you the whole awesome collection one by one!

I'll start with The Full Minty "satin mint and white glitters accented with several shades of green—all in an intensely sparkling mint-shimmered base".

This is two coats of China Glaze Keep Calm, Paint On, two coats of The Full Minty, thin coat of Glitter Food and G & G HK Girl top coat.

The Full Minty applies perfectly. No need to fish or place the glitters. One coat was already even enough but my glitter addiction forced me to add another one ;) The mint shimmer on the base is absolutely gorgeous. Jindie Nails Holo Duo - Olive You and Polo

Today I have two new Jindie Nails pretties for you. This is a duo of holographic polishes Olive You and Polo. It's pretty easy to guess which is which looking at the colors ;) This is a very pretty couple, holo effect is nice and subtle. So even if you don't like intense holo effect you might still love these two. The base colors are just gorgeous and they look stunning even without sunlight and holo showing.

Let's start with the purple holo, Polo (love that name btw ;) ). This is three coats with G & G HK Girl top coat. Application was great. There was no dragging or balding. This took three coats to be opaque on my long nails but shorter nails can get away with just two coats. Such a lovely color!

Photo taken with daylight bulbs.

Then there's the gorgeous Olive You, a pale green holo and I can see some gold glitter too. This is two coats with G & G HK Girl top coat. Perfect formula, smooth application. Opaque with two coats. This one is so beautiful too! Just stunning in sunlight!

Femme Fatale - Noble Garden

Hello lovelies! Today I have another Femme Fatale polish to show you. As many of you know I'm a sucker for green nail polish so this was a real treat for me. Noble Garden has a lot of sparkling green glitter in different shapes and sizes along with some little pops of color like pink and orange. Very beautiful combination of glitter.

I decided to layer this over a dark green jelly, NARS Zulu. This is two coats of Noble Garden over Zulu, a coat of Glitter Food and G & G HK Girl top coat.

Noble Garden applied very nicely and just one coat resulted in a good amount of glitter on my nails. But again I was greedy for bling and added another coat :P IMO there's never enough green glitters and this one is a real gem :)

Femme Fatale polishes and cosmetics can be bought from their website if you live in Australia. International customers can find Femme Fatale polishes from LlaroweHarlow & CoNorway NailsShoppe Ecclecticco and Ledouxnuage.

You can also follow Femme Fatale on social media: FacebookTwitter and Instagram.

***Noble Garden was sent for review. Glitter Food and HK Girl top coat were purchased by me.

* * * * *

Hyvää lauantaita ihanaiset! Tänään minulla onkin oikea herkku vihreän ja glitterin ystäville. Femme Fatale Noble Garden.

NARS - Zulu

Hello again! This is probably going to be the last two post day for now. We still have a lot to do around the house and I should have daily dates with a paintbrush. I'm also finally starting to work on my womancave so that is going to take some of my precious freetime also. I'm just so happy to finally have my own space and to move all the makeup and nail stuff out of our bedroom :)

And then to the polish. I have swatched this before but the photo isn't very good. Since I wanted to use this as an undie to a gorgeous glitter I decided to photograph it alone first. This is the queen of green jellies, NARS Zulu. Very deep, dark green but still clearly green instead of looking black.

This is three coats of Zulu with G & G HK Girl top coat.

Zulu is a little tricky apply. There's some balding and dragging going on. Being careful and patient with the application helps. Let each coat dry for a bit before applying the next one. I love green nail polish and I love this gorgeous jelly one too. It looks great alone and makes a nice squishy base for layering glitter.

***All products used on this manicure were purchased by me. I don't benefit from clicking the link on this post.

* * * * *

Olisiko sitten lakkauksen vuoro?

Born Pretty Store review - Oval Gemstone wheel

I got this gemstone wheel from Born Pretty Store a while ago for review. This wheel has 12 different color and size oval or raindrop shaped artificial stones. These lay very flat and might be challenging to place on curvier nails. It helps to add rhinestones, micropearls etc. around the gemstone to hide the possible gap between the nail and the sides of the gemstone.

I decided to do a jewelry type design using pearly white oval gemstone from the wheel I got. I added rhinestones from my own previously bought kit and some chain that I have purchased from Born Pretty Store. The base color is Wet n Wild I need a Refresh-Mint.

There's a lot of options on what kind of designs you can use these stones for. They allow you to do lovely 3D designs on your nails and why not even use them as a special effect on your make up look.

You can buy the gemstone wheel from Born Pretty Store and they also have a wide range of other nail art supplies. Born Pretty Store offers free worldwide shipping. Please use the code "NZL91" when you order and get extra -10% discount.

Try It On Tuesday: Wet n Wild Megalast I Need a Refresh-Mint

Happy Tuesday lovelies! It's time for another TIOT with Sassypaints. This time I have a pretty minty green shade for you from Wet n Wild. I bought this one a while back and naturally threw it in to the Helmer without trying it out. I have read this shade being very close to China Glaze For Audrey but i don't own that one so I can't compare it myself. Though Google is your friend and I bet you can find some comparisons if you want to check it out yourself.

This is two thin coats of I Need a Refresh-Mint with G & G HK Girl top coat.

This applies really well and smooth. The formula is a bit on the thick side and very pigmented so this could even be a one coater for shorter nails. Great quality for the price! This is a second Megalast shade I tried and I liked it as much as I liked the first one.

***All products used on this manicure were purchased by me. I don't benefit from clicking the links on this post.

* * * * *

Tämä I Need a Refresh-Mint on todella kaunis ja sen on sanottu olevan lähellä China Glazen For Audreyn sävyä.

ABC Challenge - Z is for Zombie Flesh

So here we are, last week of our ABC Challenge and the letter Z. This has been such a fun ride and I've really enjoyed meeting everyone :) But as we all know this is not the end and we'll be back in business soon enough. I can't wait for the new challenge to start, it's gonna be so much fun!

So for the Z I chose an indie that I mostly bought for the name but boy, am I glad I did. This is Dollish Polish Zombie Flesh and it's so cool! Yes, you think of a murky, icky green when you think of Zombies so the base color is spot on. But if you leave the zombies out of it this polish is actually quite nice. The green is a perfect color for fall and there's also some sparkling green and gold glitter along with the black glitter.

This is two coats of Zombie Flesh and G & G HK Girl top coat.

Zombie Flesh applies perfectly (ok, that just sounds too weird...) LOL and two coats was enough for an opaque result. The finish is pretty smooth so just a coat of HK Girl was enough. It's definitely not your girliest, prettiest polish but I really like it. I can't wait to wear it again later on when it's one of those beautiful, sunny fall days with falling red leaves.

Dollish Polish can be purchased from their own online store.

Now for the last time on this challenge, please go pay a visit to my fellow challenge ladies and check out what they have come up with for on this final week :) We are also welcoming new members to our group for the next challenge so stay tuned for more information about that! Thanks for reading!

Delush Polish - Finding Mr. Bright

It's Mondaaaayyyyyy! I hope everyone gets a great start to their week :) Today I have a gorgeous Delush Polish pretty for you. This is Finding Mr. Bright from the new Bombastic Summer Love collection. This is very shimmery bright light green polish. I adore this shade and it's just meant to be worn on a hot summer day!

This is three thin coats of Finding Mr. Bright and G & G HK Girl top coat.

Finding Mr. Bright applies really smoothly. Two coats was already opaque and the third coat created a perfect finish. I totally love this polish and can't wait to try out the other Delushies I got from this same collection.

You can find Delush Polish website here and you can also follow in Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

***All products used in this manicure were purchased by me.

ABC Challenge - X is for Xixabangma

My X post is late but better late than never :P The letter X seemed to be a problem for many. I already got one polish for this week quite a while ago and right after ordering that one I ran into this polish on Elevation Polish webstore. I mean it's green, it has beautiful subtle shimmer and the name was really awesome so I just had to get it right away :D

This is two coats of Elevation Polish Xixabangma with G & G HK Girl top coat.

Xixabangma has a thick-ish formula that applies really well and is opaque in two coats. This might even be a one coater for shorter nails. Dry time was quick. I just love Elevation Polish. Gorgeous colors with really unique names. I need to get more of these in my life :)

Elevations Polish beauties can be bought from their webstore.

Below you can find the links to see what all the other talented ladies came up with on the tricky X week :)

a england - Dragon

I bought this beautiful polish from a england a few months ago, right before the infamous RM fiasco. Dragon is a stunning green polish with scattered holo effect. For me, as a green polish lover this is a must have!

Dragon has a great formula. Application is smooth as butter and for longer nails two coats is enough for opaque result. For shorter nails this might even be a one coater. Dry time was also short with G & G HK Girl Fast Drying + Super Shiny top coat.

This and other a england beauties can be bought online from a england website if you live in UK and if you don't live in UK click here to find the online store most suitable for you.

ABC Challenge - U is for Under the Sea

Time really keeps going way too fast at the moment. I feel like it's always Wednesday and time for our weekly challenge post. I'm still super busy with the house renovation and I just really want everything to be done already. We are supposed to move in about 3 weeks. We'll see how that goes ;)

I didn't have too many choices for U and none of the old polishes really called my name. Instead this new purchase I was dying to try so this week I have another Crazy Polish Lady shade for you. This time it's Under the Sea from the "Memories in Colors" collection. This is a pale aqua green crelly with turquoise, light green and white glitter. I really love the soft base color and (even if I really love my glitter bombs) it's a nice change that this isn't crazy packed with glitter.

This is two normal coats of Under the Sea and G & G HK Girl top coat.

Under the Sea applies really nice and smooth. Two coats is enough for opaque result and dry time is very short. Like most crellys this one also creates a lovely sandwich effect. I have been impressed with every Crazy Polish Lady polish I have tried by far. Excellent quality!

Crazy Polish Lady lives in Portugal and she ships internationally. She doesn't have her own store yet but you can message her on her Facebook page or email her carvalho.sophie(@)gmail.com and place an order.

Now hurry up and go see what all the other talented ladies are up to this week :)

Essie - First Timer

Hello my lovelies! I hope everyone is having a great weekend :) Today I have a very quick post for you. This is Essie First Timer from the Resort 2013 collection. First Timer is your basic good quality pale mint green creme polish. Formula is good and application is smooth, opaque in two coats and dries fast. This is a perfect shade for spring and summer and this also makes a great base for glitter (which I'll show you on tomorrow's post).

On this mani I used two coats of Essie First Timer and G & G HK Girl top coat.

Different Dimension - Money

I got the new Echoes collection from Different Dimension. This collection has six amazing shades, both glitter toppers and polishes you can wear alone. Echoes is inspired by Pink Floyd. I'm a little ashamed to admit I don't know too many Pink Floyd songs but this collection has actually inspired me to go listen to a few.

I'll show you these polishes one by one and in the end I'll do a recap post with the whole collection. I'm gonna start with Money. This pale green crelly has a lot going on when it comes to glitter but everything goes together perfectly. I love green polish and the sparkling glitter in this polish made me stare at my nails and just sigh cos Money looked so beautiful.

Money has a good formula and it was easy to apply smoothly. I turned the bottle upside down for a bit before application and between each coat to help to get the bigger glitter circles out. Crelly base on Money is thin and sheer enough to create an awesome sandwich effect. This polish has great depth and glow.

This was three thin coats of Money, a coat of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food and HK Girl Fast Drying + Super Shiny top coat.

Different Dimension polishes can be bought from their Etsy-store, they ship internationally. Their polishes are also sold at Llarowe, Mei Mei's Signatures, Edgy Polish and Ledouxnuage

Different Dimension can be found from Facebook and Instagram. Be sure to follow for latest news and swatch photos :)

Delush Polish - Opalesque

I recently placed my first order with indie brand Delush Polish and my pretties arrived in about a week.  Today I have the first one of the two, Opalesque to show you. This is a pale mint-y crelly with opalescent glitters and beautiful subtle shimmer.

I'm really impressed with the quality of this polish. The application was absolutely flawless and two coats was enough for opaque result. This applied so smoothly that I didn't even need to use Glitter Food and I use that with 95% of my glitter polishes.

On the photos I have two coats of Opalesque and HK Girl top coat.

This was my first Delush Polish order but I can already tell you it wasn't the last. Delush Polish has an Etsy store and they ship internationally. You can also follow Delush Polish on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
