Sephora by OPI - Leaf Him At The Altar

Jatketaanpa Sephora by OPI minilakkakokoelman läpi käymistä. Tällä kertaa vuorossa vihreä ihanuus, Leaf Him At The Altar. Tämä on metallinen-frost tai jotain sinne päin, lakka. Minun kokoelmassani uniikki ja todella kaunis sävy. Tämä on selkeästi vaaleanvihreä eikä taita esimerkiksi kullan sävyyn.

Ihan kohtuullisen hyvin levittyi ja kaksi kerrosta riitti lyhyempiin kynsiin. Pidemmät kynnet vaatisivat varmaankin vielä sen kolmannen kerroksen. Kuivumisaikakin oli lyhyt Seche Viten avustuksella. Siveltimen jälkiä on hiukan nähtävissä, mutta ei häiritsevästi. Vihreästä pitäville ihan hankkimisen arvoinen lakka.

Let's continue with the Sephora by OPI mini collection polishes. This time I'm wearing gorgeous green shade, Leaf Him At The Altar. This one is a metallic-frost (or something of the sort) polish. In my collection this is unique and it's a totally beautiful color. This is clearly green and doesn't have for example gold tones in it.

Application was alright and two coats was enough for my nails. Longer nails probably need the third coat. Drying time was short with a little help from Seche Vite. Brush strokes are somewhat visible but it doesn't look bad at all. For all of you green lovers out there this is a shade worth owning.

In this mani I used Nail Tek II x1, Leaf Him At The Altar x2 and Seche Vite to dry it all up nice and fast.

Xmas mani - part 1

Tänä jouluna olen ollut oikea laiskamato joka asian suhteen, niin miksi ei sitten kynsienkin. Joululakkauksia en ole saanut aikaan kuin kahdet ja nekin sangen yksinkertaiset.

Tässä ensimmäinen koristelu Sephora by OPI Sample Salen päälle. Kärjissä Sephora by OPI Only Gold For Me Top Coat ja rajauksena Art Club liner sävy Gold Hologram.


This Christmas time I've been so lazy it's not even funny. So I might continue being lazy when it comes to manicures too ;) I've only done two Xmas manis (very simple ones) and this is the first one of those.

Here's the yesterday's Sephora by OPI Sample Sale mani with Sephora by OPI Only Gold For Me top coat on the tips and Art Club liner Gold Hologram.

Tämä lakka on kuin Opening Night sävyn punainen sisar, upean punainen shimmerlakka. Tietyssä valossa tämä lakka näyttää hehkuvan sisältä päin. Punaisen sävy on tässä todella kaunis ja vuodenaikaan sopiva.

Lakka levittyi erittäin hyvin ja kuivui nopeasti. Kaksi kerrosta riitti peittämään ja laatu tuntui tässäkin olevan todella hyvä. Tämä on niin omaan silmään mieleinen punainen, että saattaa tulla tuo minipullo joskus käytettyä loppuunkin.

This one is like Opening Night's red little sister, stunning red shimmer polish. In a certain light this one looks like it's glowing from the inside. The red shade on this is gorgeous and fits the time of the year perfectly.

This also applied very well and dried fast. Two coats was enough for an opaque result. I like this shade so much I might actually finish whole mini bottle someday.

In this mani I used: Nail Tek II x1, Sample Sale x2 and Seche Vite on Top. The photo doesn't do justice to this polish and I couldn't capture the inner glow this one has.

Opening Night + Art Club - You're Golden

Suttasin vähän eilisen Sephora by OPI Opening Night manin päälle Art Clubin koristelulakan sävyllä You're Golden. Kuten kuvasta näkyy käsi vähän väpätti ja jälki sen mukaista ;D Noh, ehkä tuo taito tuosta harjoittelemalla paranee.


I messed up my Sephora by OPI Opening Night mani using Art Club liner shade You're Golden. As you can see my hand wasn't exactly steady ;D Oh well, maybe I'll get better at this if I practice enough :P

Sephora by OPI - Opening Night

Tätä lakkaa kelpaa esitellä ensimmäisenä swatchauksena Sephora by OPI minilakkakokoelmastani. Sephora by OPI Opening Night on ihana sininen shimmerlakka. Sävy on todella syvän sininen, mutta ei todellakaan lähellä mustaa.

Tämä sävy on aika tarkka kopio OPI Yoga-ta Get This Blue! lakasta. Vertasin näitä kynnellä rinnakkain ja ero on mitättömän pieni. Yoga-Ta Get This Blue! on sävyltään ehkä ihan hitusen syvemmän sininen ja shimmer pikkuisen kirkkaampaa. Jos näiden kahden väliltä on valittava niin suosittelen YGTB:ta. Ero on kuitenkin niin huomaamaton, että kuvaa on turha ottaa koska kamerani ei pysty sitä eroa tallentamaan.

Pigmenttiä tässä lakassa on vaikka muille jakaa ja lyhyisiin kynsiin riitti loistavasti yksi ainoa kerros. Levittyvyys oli täydellinen ja lakka kuivui todella nopeasti. Loistavaa laatua!

This is a perfect choice for my first swatch from the Sephora by OPI 18 minibottles collection. Sephora by OPI Opening Night is a stunning blue shimmer polish. This shade is so deep and still clearly blue, not black in any light.

This is a dupe for OPI Yoga-Ta Get This Blue!. I compared this next to each other on my nail and Yoga-Ta Get This Blue! is tiny bit deeper blue and has brighter shimmer. The difference is too slight for my camera to capture so no use taking a pic. If you have neither of these polishes and you have to choose between the two I recommend YGTB! cos that one is just a tiny tiny bit more beautiful.

This polish is so pigment-rich and applies so smoothly. One coat was enough for my short nails and it dried super-fast. Perfect!

Kynsiholistiin on iskenyt niinkin paha tauti kuin laiskuus ja ei ole sitten niin millään jaksanut huolehtia kynsistään. Tuloksen näkee sitten kuvassa. Lyhyet, liuskottuvat kynnet ja kaikki eri pituisia. Höh!

Nyt yritän kunnostautua ja saada kasvatettua taas kaunit ja pitkät kynnet.

Kasvatusprojektin aikana ajattelin kuitenkin ottaa lakkakuvia ja yleensä joitakin ihmisiä häiritsee kuvissa eri pituiset/malliset kynnet ja siitä onkin sitten kiva anonyyminä avautua. Ihan näin ystävällisenä vinkkinä voin kertoa, että palkokasvin tunkeminen minun nenääni on äärimmäisen vaikeaa ja aikaa vievää touhua. Joten jos tunnet tarvetta provoilla kommenteissa suosittelen, että tuhlaat aikasi johonkin hyödyllisempään aktiviteettiin. Enhän kuitenkaan ole lataamassa kuvia rumista kynsistäni sinun blogiisi ;)



This nail-a-holic has been extremely lazy lately when it comes to taking care of her nails and the result can be seen on the pic. Short, uneven length and peeling nails. Bleh!

I'm trying my best to take better care of my nails from now on so I can have my long and beautiful nails back. While they grow back I'm still going to take pics of nail polish and I hope people won't be bothered by the fact that for a while my nails will be different length and shape and won't look all that pretty ;)

Täällä ollaan edelleen vaikkakin on tullut vietettyä aika pitkää taukoa bloggaamisesta. Jospa tästä pikkuhiljaa löytyisi uutta inspiraatiota tähänkin hommaan. Kuvailin tähän postaukseen viimeaikaisia hankintoja, joita esittelen tarkemmin myöhemmin ja huomenna näytän teille hoidon puutteesta kärsineet ja hyvin lyhyet kynteni. Saisikohan jostain myös sitä inspiraatiota kynsien hoitoon ja kasvatukseen :P

I'm still here even though I have been taking quite a long break from blogging. Maybe I can finally find some inspiration to write again. I took some photos of few of the things I've bought/got lately and I'll write more detailed reviews of these products later. Tomorrow I'll show you my poor, short, neglected nails. I hope I can also find some inspiration to take care of and grow my nails again :P

Kävimme Amerikassa sukuloimassa ja viettämässä Kiitospäivää. Tottakai sieltä tuli vähän shoppailtuakin ;)

We went to Long Island, NY to visit family and enjoy some great food on Thanksgiving. Of course I had to buy some cosmetics too ;)

I got another NARS Albatross from Sephora to wait for the old one to be finished off first. Dior eyeshadow Crush Glow I got from Finland a while back.

Maybellinen Lash Stiletto Volumen ostin kokeiluun jokin aika sitten. Kirjoitan tästä arvostelun lähipäivinä :)
