Joku ystävällinen sielu oli tarpeeksi huomaavainen ilmoittaakseen minulle, että kuvaani käytetään eBayssa ja hän halusi varmistaa, että myyjällä on tähän lupa. No ei tietenkään ollut. Tyypillä näyttää olevan siellä muidenkin lakkakuvia ja tuskinpa lupaa on niihinkään. Tämä myyjä on ollut liian laiska poistamaan edes blogini osoitetta kuvan yläreunasta. Otin jo yhteyttä sekä myyjään ja eBayhin pyytäen poistamaan kuvan välittömästi. Katsotaan kuinka käy.
Teidänkin kannattaa aina ottaa yhteyttä kuvaajaan jos huomaatte tutun näköisen kuvan muualla kuin esim. kuvaajan omassa blogissa. Kuvia varastellaan aika röyhkeästi omiin tarkoituksiin.
**edit** Kuvaaja näyttää nyt poistaneen varastamansa kuvan sivuiltaaan ja korvanneen sen pullokuvalla. Kyseessä oli siis tämä China Glaze Code Orange kuva. Tällä kertaa kyseessä oli vaan harrastelijan kynsistään ottama kuva, mutta tätä tapahtuu varmasti myös ammattilaisille joille valokuvaus on elinkeino. Joka tapauksessa kuvan luvaton käyttö on aina paha juttu ja siihen kannattaa puuttua tuntui se miten vähäpätöiseltä tahansa.

Someone was friendly enough to inform me about an eBay seller using my photo and she/he wanted to make sure the seller has my permission to use the photo. Well of course the seller didn't have permission and I have already contacted both eBay and the seller asking them to take the photo down immediately. This one was too lazy to even cut out my blog address from the top of the photo. The seller seems to have other peoples photos there too so if you know who those photos belong to you should inform the person and make sure they gave a permission to use those photos.
You guys should also always inform the person who owns the rights to the photo if you see familiar looking swatch or other photos somewhere other than the copyright owners own site. These poopyheads stealing other peoples work pisses me off!!
**Edit** The eBay seller has now removed the picture he/she stole from me and replaced it with a pic of a polish bottle. This China Glaze Code Orange picture is what was up on the page earlier. This time the stolen pic was only an amateur photo of someone's nails but I bet this happens a lot to real professionals too. Either way using someone's photo without permission is a bad bad thing to do and you should always report the person doing it no matter how small the matter seems to be.

That's terrible! That's so lazy of the ebay seller. It wouldn't be that hard to contact the owner of the picture. Sheesh!
Looks like she has stolen pictures from other bloggers as well! That's ridiculous.
Nea: Joillakin on pokkaa tehdä tollasta tai sitten ne luulee, että esim. eBayssa on niin paljon myyjiä ja kuvia etteivät he voi jäädä kiinni. Onneksi tällä kertaa joku näki vaivan ilmoittaa asiasta minulle :)

Velvet: Yeah! I have e-mail addy there and if this person took if from my Flickr account there's a way to contact me through that too. Also as I said above, how hard can it be to take your own pic :oO I guess just a little harder than stealing someone elses :(
Nicole: Yep, I saw pics from other people too. I just have no idea who those ones belong to. I hope someone who knows sees this and can let them know.
