Keeping my hair blonde

Minulla on lyhyet ja vaalennetut hiukset. Vaikka oma värini onkin sellainen tyypillinen hiiren värinen, niin silti ilmeisesti löytyy punapigmenttiä sen verran, että vaalennus on hankala operaatio. Joudun aina ensin tekemään tyveen värinpoiston ja sen jälkeen laitan sävytteen taittamaan jäljelle jäänyttä keltaisuutta. Kuitenkin jo viikon päästä hiukset alkavat yleensä kellertää, vähintäänkin sieltä tyvestä ja etsinkin jatkuvasti tuotteita joilla voisin ylläpitää vaaleaa sävyä rasittamalla hiuksiani mahdollisimman vähän.

Muutama päivä sitten löysin paikallisesta hiustuotemyymälästä Riflessi merkkisen sävyttävän hiusnaamion. Hoitoaine itsessään on lähinnä luumunväristä ja sen pitäisi taittaa keltaisuutta ja sävyttää hiuksia platinan värisiksi. Ajattelinkin sekoittaa tätä kerran viikossa tehohoitoaineeseen ja antaa vaikuttaa hiuksissa jonkin aikaa. Pullon kyljessä suositellaan vaikutusajaksi 5-15 min, riippuen sävyn halutusta voimakkuudesta.

Testasin tuotetta pikaisesti edellispäivänä sekoittaen pari painallusta normaaliin hoitoaineeseen ja annoin sen vaikuttaa hiuksissa vajaa 5 minuuttia. Sävyero oli tuonkin vaikutusajan jälkeen selvä ja varsinkin latvat vetivät sävyltään melko harmaiksi. Seuraavan kerran taidan jättää päällimmäiset hiukset ilman naamiota ja levittää sitä varovasti vaan sivuille ja lyhyeen takatukkaan. Näin luulisin sävyn olevan tasaisempi. Seuraavan pesun jälkeen sävy tasoittui huomattavasti, mutta ei kuitenkaan peseytynyt kokonaan pois. Luulisin tämän olevan oikein tehokas tuote kunhan löydän sopivan sekoitus- ja levitystavan.

I have short and bleached hair. My own color is light brown, really boring shade but apparently it still has enough red pigment in it that it's very difficult to bleach. I always have to bleach it with pretty strong stuff and then use hair toner to get rid of the yellow-ish shade. After a week the root usually starts looking yellow again and therefore I'm always looking for products to keep up the platinum blonde shade while trying to damage my hair as little as possible.

A few days ago I found this Riflessi Color Renewal Mask shade silver from a local store. The conditioner itself is plum-y shade and it's supposed to get rid of the yellow and give your hair nice platinum shade. I thought about mixing this with my regular conditioners about once a week and leave it on my hair for a bit. The bottle says to let it affect your hair for 5-15 mins depending on how strong you want the shade to be.

I did a quick test the other day by mixing a little bit of the hair mask with my conditioner and let it be on my hair for less than 5 mins. Even after that short period of time I was able to see a good change in the shade and part of the hair was close to turning too grey. Next time I think I'll leave the top hair without the mask and apply it on the shorter hair on the sides and the back of my head. That way the color should look more even. They greyness lightened a lot just after one wash but wasn't washed off completely. So I think this product is going to be pretty good after I learn the right amount to use and the right way to apply it.
